Steve,

I just wanted to follow up and tell you how happy I am with my Pilot and my experience dealing with you.  I usually dread the thought of buying a car but you were very helpful and easy going, which I appreciate.  Since my Tacoma was part of a buy back program, I was very glad you were willing to hold the Pilot for me even though it could have been weeks before I was able to give you a check.  It's hard to find car dealer that actually try to help you out instead of trying to move cars as quick as they can.  I waited a few weeks to write because I wanted to see how the Pilot performed.  It is exactly as you said and I have had absolutely no problems or "surprises" with it.  I will definitely look you up when I am in the market for another car (even though I live an hour away) and will always recommend you to my friends.

Hey Steve.  Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks for all your help in getting the Ranchero down to me.  Most places wouldn't take the time.  You are a good, easy-going guy, made the entire process go quick, easy and comfortable.  It was like I have known you for years.

The Ranchero arrived with no problems.  I haven't had time to drive it yet, but I'll let you know when I do.  Probably this weekend.

Attached is a picture of its new home and its sister.  I now need to get a cover for it.

Thanks, again, and hope to do business with you, again.

Hi Steve, Sorry for the delay in sending you our recommendation as promised.  Summer got in the way. Thanks.

To whom it may concern:

This letter is a testament to the good service provided to us by Steven Igoe of Igoe Automotive, Fredrick, MD with our internet vehicle purchase.

After we found the vehicle we wanted on an internet website, Mr. Igoe put our concerns to rest and assured us through the whole internet transaction. He managed our sales transaction in a very helpful and professional manor.

Everything he promised, Mr. Igoe delivered to us and more. He went out of his way to pick me up at the out-of-town airport and bring me to the dealership to examine the vehicle. At our request, Mr. Igoe located and sent to us the owner's manual for the vehicle.

Mr. Igoe also made the financial deal very reasonable and pleasant as possible. In all regards Mr. Igoe was a man of his word and provided to us that extra effort in customer service. We would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Steven Igoe for his integrity as a business partner.

Many thanks,

This is our story about a 1968 Ford, Torino Coupe.

So they say: “What goes around comes around.” “Patients is a virtue.” “Good things come to those who wait.” All of these sayings are so very true.

This story started way back in 1970, when I bought my first car ($1700.00) from Mr. Dale Sather in Hudson, WI.   I remember it like it was yesterday, it was a 1968 Ford Torino Coupe, bright RED, with a 302 engine and black cloth interior.  Boy………….. If that car could talk..........OH the stories it could tell and the memories I (we) still have.

Of course I had to make this car my own by fixing it up! I added hood pins, tweaked the carb, jacked-it up 21 inches to accommodate the wide tires and chrome reverse wheels, and installed a rocking new stereo complete with a reverb system. Boy did the Rolling Stones sound GOOOOOOOOOD!! That ‘68 Ford, Torino was my pride & joy.  Of course the car soon resulted in my first ticket. I had the car jacked up 2 inches higher then the legal limit.  Good thing my old neighbor was the town judge. I got off with my pride intact and a warning ONLY if I promised to lower it back down to legal limits. Which, I did because Mr. O’Brien (the judge) lived right around the corner from me.

Soon it came time to enlist in the USAF because the draft was knocking on my door. So off I went to serve my country.  (Proudly for 20 years, 8 months & 15 days).

Then came that dreaded day (September 1971) when I had to sell my ‘68 Torino.

I quickly re-invested the money I got out of the car into a brand new shinny, sparkling diamond ring for my girl-friend (Lynda) with a little left for me. Well, that was 37 years ago and I bet you are all wondering if we are still together…….

YES we are!!

I (we) have always wanted to buy another ’68 Torino as a retirement fix-up project for Lynda & I.  You can only golf and travel so much.

So I began looking on E-bay searching & searching until I came across what is now sitting in our garage in Colorado Springs, CO. Yep, I found the perfect 1968 Ford, Torino Coupe. This time around it is BLACK, has a 289 engine with black cloth interior, very low mileage and a AM radio! Soon our new pride & joy will have its very own memories to make and new stories to tell.

We want to send out a “SPECIAL” Thank-You to Mr. Steve Igoe for making this   coincide with Ron’s 55th birthday and for making our story come full circle. It has been a pleasure to do business with such an honest and caring gentleman.  Thank-You so MUCH!!!

Dear Steve,

As you know before we had even arrived at your office we were pretty stressed! Brian and Deb were telling us to come to you, and look at the cars that you had. Thank you so much for keeping us in mind and letting Brian know about the Grand Am. As soon as we heard it and the mileage we were interested. So we had our mind and hearts set on the Grand Am.  I know we did run into a little problem with the car the a few hours after we got it, and the next day it was very small and it was amazing to me that you actually made the phone call to us and to see how we were doing and to let us know you will make sure the problem is taken care of!  THAT'S A FIRST FOR ME! Never had a car dealer called me if something went wrong with the car the next day. And being as minor as it was and Deb was the one to brake it, it was great purchasing the car from you. And I will do it again but I hope under different circumstances.

Thank you, it was great meeting you after a month of hearing

"Go and see Steve Igoe, Mariya".

Thank you again so much.

Attn: Steve Igoe

Dear Steve,

I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for your professional, honest and just good old fashioned way of doing business. As you know , its not often in today's world that you get a fair deal when purchasing a used automobile. It seems everyone wants to sell you something you don't need or want you on the other hand were patient and understanding! Steve what impressed me most about my dealings with you is the fact that I never felt pressured and when asked a specific question you had an answer instantly, no back peddling. My purchase from your establishment has not only been a pleasant one but a very wise one! You have a customer and also a friend for life!!! I will highly recommend Igoe Automotive to anyone whoever asks about buying a pre-owned vehicle. With your honesty and good business practices I am sure longevity as a great businessman will be no problem for you!!!

Thanks Again,

P.S. Steve feel free to publish this letter on your website, nothing would be better than to let the public know there's a place where there hard earned dollar is safe and appreciated. Oh by the way in case this letter didn't spell it out I LOVE MY NEW TRUCK!!!

November 3, 2005

Let me start by saying that I am not an easy customer to please. I’m the guy that, when bad service is received at a restaurant, leaves a penny for a tip just to let them know that I didn’t forget. By that same token, I tip very well when good service is received, usually around 40%. Since I cannot afford to tip 40% on the price of the vehicle, I figured I would do the next best thing.
I purchased a 1998 Chevy Silverado from Steven Igoe of Igoe Automotive on October 16, 2005. It was a bumpy road getting to that day. I had a lot of problems getting financing for the vehicle. Steven held the truck for me for nearly 2 weeks on my word that I would get financing, at times holding off 3 or more buyers that had cash in hand. I later found out that one of the potential buyers was a repeat customer and Steven found him a truck very similar to the Silverado that was sold to me and he was working to find another Silverado for one of the other potential buyers.
About a week and a half after taking delivery of the truck, a problem arose with the starter. I certainly could not blame that on Steven as he put in a new starter prior to putting the truck on his lot. I not only had receipts showing that a new starter was put on the truck; I crawled under the truck and saw that it was a brand new starter. Steven came out himself and put another new starter on it to no avail. We later found out that the first starter malfunctioned and blew one of the main fuses on the truck. So, off to the repair shop it went. Steven even offered me his car to drive while the truck was being repaired. I declined.
The truck was repaired early the next day. Steven came to my house, picked me up, and drove me to the repair shop to pick up the truck. It runs perfectly now.
In my opinion, Steven went out of his way to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible. It’s unfortunate that it happened, but again, that was not his fault. He could have told me when I first called him to just have it towed, but he didn’t. He wanted to be personally involved in fixing the problem. He could have sold the truck to one of the other people that wanted it and had the money in their hands, but he didn’t. He gave his word that he would hold it for me, even when it took longer to get financing than either of us anticipated. He could have told me to call a cab when the truck was fixed, but he didn’t. He wanted to make sure that I was not inconvenienced any more than I already was. He didn’t have to offer to let me drive his vehicle while the truck was in need of repair, but he did. He wanted to make sure that I had transportation. I had my work vehicle to drive, so I declined.
Steven is by far one of the nicest and most caring people that I have ever dealt with. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and wants to make sure they are totally satisfied. I could not imagine ever buying a vehicle from anyone else. As I mentioned earlier, I am not an easy customer to please, but he has far exceeded all expectations that I had. I have, and will continue to recommend Steven Igoe to all of my friends and family. It also helps that he’s a die-hard Redskins fan too.

Sincerely,
Shaun Martin
